Singer House
Pacific Palisades, CA

January 8, 2025

In January, 2025, a devastating wildfire swept through the Palisades, destroying much of the neighborhood. The Singer family’s home was burned to the ground.  The original house, (below) was designed by HOLTZ ARCHITECTURE in 2005.  The Singers raised their two children and called the Fiske street house their home for 18 years.

The Singers made the decision to rebuild their house on the same lot and engaged HOLTZ ARCHITECTURE to design their new home. The new house is designed around an enclosed courtyard garden which all spaces share in visually and functionally. The new house is unapologetically modern, in aid of creating a functional and casually comfortable living space.

Permitting  negotiated an often complex process, and began construction in April.
