Originally from Western New York State, Don Holtz received his Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Syracuse University, where he studied design and art history in Florence Italy. After moving to Los Angeles in 1987, Don spent the early part of his career gaining a broad base of project experience, including extensive work on projects for the Media and Entertainment Industry. He has designed Sound Stages, Editing and Technical Facilities, and Screening Rooms for Technicolor, Warner Brothers, Fox Studios, Miramax, and numerous independent Production Companies.
Formed in 2003, HOLTZ ARCHITECTURE, Don located his studio in the Westlake District of Los Angeles across from MacArthur Park. His work includes a broad base of project types, from single family homes and luxury condominiums to corporate interiors, retail spaces and adaptive reuse. His work for East West Bank at their Commercial Banking Center in Pasadena won a Caliber award for Design Excellence.
HOLTZ ARCHITECTURE offers a full scope of architectural services, from schematic design through construction administration, as well as, pre-design, programming and feasability studies. Other services include, management and coordination of all consulting engineers on both commercial and residential projects. As principal of HOLTZ ARCHITECTURE, Don works directly with clients to ensure project viability and cost effectiveness through the Design and Construction process.
In addition to being a Licensed Architect in California for over twenty-five years, Don is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
